The incident was widely condemned by critics. But the main question is why Prime Minister Narendra Modi remained silent for 78 days. Why didn't he say even a single word of Manipur? Didn't he know anything about this what was going on in Manipur? Was he truly that unaware of this situation that he took 78 days to break the silence on Manipur violence while Chief Minister of Manipur N. Biren Singh claims that the video is only one example it had been 100+ incidents that happened in the past 3.5 months like this. The video is said to be 3.5 months old. Not even this, a female activist in Manipur claims that there could be almost 8-11 years old 100-200 young girls raped and then buried with the help of JCB. However, the Manipur government has arrested those who were responsible for such an inhuman incident and the investigation is ongoing. But Godi Media found a Hindu-Muslim narrative in this incident too.
Take a close look at this news article screenshot from "The Telegraph". The picture clearly says that it took 79+ days (3.5 months) for 56 inches of skin to feel the pain and shame of Manipur. This incident has brought the issue of violence against women in Manipur and completely exposed the hollow claims of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao and the double-engine government of the BJP government. But this isn't the first time when crimes like rape and gang rape happened in Manipur because there are several high-profile cases of violence against women have been reported in the state in recent years, including the 2004 rape and murder of Thangjam Manorama.

Now the government has started taking some steps to address the issue, but at what cost, when more than 150 people have died? But much must be done to ensure women's safety in Manipur. Those pictures and videos are extremely offensive and dirty, so I can't show them here in my blog post. I am sorry to say this, PM Modi, but if you had even an iota of shame, I would not have to say, "Shame on you!" In my recent blog, I have explained in detail 30 Proactive Ways to Overcome Rape Culture.

Whatever happened to those two women in Manipur was shameful and a result of fake news and misinformation spread by the so-called Godi media. However, after the humiliating video in which the two women were paraded naked by a mob leaked, Prime Minister Narendra Modi finally breaks his silence on Manipur violence after 78 days and called the incident "shameful for 140 crore people of the nation" and said the culprits would not be spared, but look at their shamelessness as they shamelessly included Rajasthan and West Bengal in this incident as well.

On PM Modi's shameful statement, senior journalist Ravish Kumar said on his Youtube Chanel Ravish Kumar Official, "It would have been better if you would have remained silent on this incident in Manipur and haven't said a single word."
In other words, "The shameful incident that happened in Manipur is a complex issue with no easy answers. One of the major reasons behind this inhumane incident could be the breakdown of law and order in Manipur. This has created an environment where impunity is rampant, and this can embolden people to commit crimes, such as the shameful incident that happened in May 2023."
In addition, there are also a number of social and cultural factors that may have contributed to the shameful incident in Manipur such as the Indian state Manipur is a patriarchal society, and women are often seen as being inferior to men. And that could be another reason to make women more vulnerable to violence and make it more difficult for them to seek justice.
It is important to note that the shameful incident in Manipur is a tragedy, and it is crucial to understand the root causes of the violence in Manipur in order to prevent future incidents from happening like this instead of whataboutery and playing blaming games on each other.
Overall, the shameful incident in Manipur is a wake-up call for the Indian government and society as a whole, and it is an example of how fake news can contribute to turning a human into an adamkhor. It is clear that there are deep-rooted problems in Manipur, and these problems need to be addressed in order to prevent future violence from happening. The government needs to take steps to address the economic and social problems in Manipur, and it also needs to strengthen the rule of law in the state. Only then can Manipur hope to achieve peace and stability.
